Das Elektrowerkzeug ist für Schlagbohren und Bohren in Ziegel, Beton und Stein sowie für Meißelarbeiten vorgesehen. Sie eignet sich auch für normales Bohren in Holz, Metall, Keramik und Kunststoff. Der bürstenlose Motor bietet mehr Leistung, Ausdauer und gleichzeitig eine wesentlich längere Lebensdauer als ein Motor mit Kohlebürsten. Durch die staubgeschützte SDS Plus Werkzeugaufnahme können in Sekundenschnelle verschiedene Bohrer oder Meißel montiert werden. Der Bohrhammer verfügt über eine 40-fache Meißelverstellung. Durch eine neuartige Gummidämpfung wird die Vibration reduziert und auch längere Arbeiten sind somit einfach durchzuführen. Der Makita Akku-Kombihammer ist ein kabelloser Bohrhammer für den professionellen Einsatz.
