Das Werkzeug wurde für das Anziehen von Bolzen und Muttern entwickelt.  Der kraftvolle Makita DTW 450 Schlagschrauber zeichnet sich durch sein hohes Drehmoment von 440 Nm als auch seiner kurzen Bauform von nur 266 mm aus. Eine mithilfe von Gummidämpfern vom Maschinengehäuse entkoppelte Akkuhalterung schützt den Akku vor Vibrationen und sorgt somit für eine optimale Stromübertragung. Des Weiteren befindet sich am Makita Schlagschrauber ein praktischer, großflächiger Rechts-/Linkslauf-Umschalter sowie eine separat zuschaltbare leuchtstarke LED.
